Timeline photosLast week we featured a cover shot from a PENN Fishing Reels Catalog circa 1955. Featured on the cover of that catalog was this IGFA Womenโs 60-kg (130 lb) Line Class Word Record black marlin. This fish weighed an incredible 691.73-kilogram (1525-pounds) and was caught on April 22, 1954, by Mrs. Charles Hughes. She was fishing out of the famed Cabo Blanco, Peru ๐ต๐ช, and landed this massive marlin after a 75-mintue battle on a 14/0 Penn Senator.
